Apex Legends vs COD Warzone: Which Should I Play in 2022?

Unless you’re new to PC and console gaming, you should be no stranger to Call of Duty: Warzone and Apex Legends. They adopt the famous “battle royale” approach in their gameplay.

While it has been up to three years since their release dates, these games are still played by millions. Seeing as they’re far from brand-new, you might have wondered, which should I play in 2022?

In this article, we will briefly highlight the difference in gameplay and possible problems you might face.

Apex Legends

Released in 2019, this game is set in a futuristic world where humans with powers and robots fight for glory. When we say futuristic, imagine your player diving from the sky and suffering zero fall damage. Nice, right? It doesn’t have a story mode and was meant to be played with friends and other players.

Here are common problems you will encounter with Apex Legends.

Battle Royale Lacks a Solo Mode

Playing with a team can be nice, but sometimes their bad gameplay might actually limit you. Players who feel this way would normally choose a “solo mode” game. Unfortunately, Apex Legends lacks this. The best you can hope for is a “duo mode” game.

You Can’t Stay Together After a Game

It’s a wonderful feeling after winning a game with a bunch of random players, and you go on to conquer multiple battles. In fact, most game friendships are formed this way. It’s sad that the case is different with Apex Legends as your group is immediately disbanded after a match.

Call of Duty: Warzone

Warzone is a lot more realistic if sticking to the way the real world works is your thing. Players have access to different skins, guns, and vehicles. At one time, Warzone was king, lording over the battle royale genre. While the platform still boasts of a large fan base, a sizable amount of players have left the platform.

Here are common problems you should expect with Warzone.

Hackers

This is arguably the biggest problem the gaming giant faces right now. From speed hacks, aim hacks, wall hacks, you name it. All these are pretty annoying for a newbie who just signed up. With their latest update, Call of Duty introduced the “Ricochet” anti-cheat software.

It was supposed to be powerful and put an end to hackers, but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be successful.

No Ranked Mode

Ask any newbie that tried out Warzone, and they’ll probably have the same story: “It just feels like everyone is much better than you.” Well, that’s because they probably are. Warzone doesn’t have a ranked match mode so a newbie can get paired in the same lobby with a veteran.

This type of gameplay doesn’t allow for a good gaming experience. Most players record not having a kill after a week of gameplay. With stats like this, it’s no wonder they get frustrated and leave.

Conclusion

Apex Legends and Warzone are undoubtedly good games in their own right. Like any good game, they have their shortcomings. The purpose of this article is to inform you of common problems you might encounter. Ultimately, the decision is yours, and we hope you found this read useful.
